About this event
Those of us who responsibility for recruitment carry a huge load. There are a myriad of regulations, most of which we are aware of. But, sometimes, we look at the regulations and overlook the "holistic helicopter". We know what we are doing; we know why we are doing it; we may even know how we are doing it. Joining all three elements and also having a bias free process is a real challenge.
This interactive workshop will engage participants with information, hints and tips to lead to reduced unconscious bias in recruitment. We will be equipped with useable information. The session will be led by:
Tracy Madgwick
Tracy is a seasoned HR professional who has held a number of senior HR roles in both the private, public and third sectors. She currently provides HR support to SMEs and charities who have no in-house support as well as providing additional capacity for existing HR teams in larger organisations.
Tracy offers the full range of HR support to organisations from advice on managing tricky staffing situations through to reviewing contracts of employment and staff handbooks. Her particular areas of focus are running management and personal development workshops for existing and aspiring line managers and supervisors. Many of our clients prefer that we run these sessions remotely in short bite-sized chunks using Zoom but Tracy is very happy to chat to clients about running workshops on site if needed.
Tracy is a Chartered Member of the CIPD and abides by the CIPD Code of Practice.

The session has been funded by The Society of the Holy Child Jesus CIO. The funding has enabled preparation of a bias free recruitment pack which will be made available, to all, via the VSNW website following this event.
