Cheshire and Merseyside REN Impact Report 2023/24

The Research Engagement Network (REN) is an NHS England initiative launched in 2022 to create more inclusive research communities and increase diversity in research participation. The programme works by strengthening connections between local integrated care boards (ICB), the national institute for health and care research (NIHR) infrastructure, and voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) alliances.

We are proud to present the Cheshire and Merseyside REN Impact Report 2023/2024, showcasing our achievements in building stronger connections between healthcare research and our diverse communities.

This report demonstrates our commitment to making health and care research more inclusive and representative of our diverse population. By breaking down barriers to participation and building trust within communities, we're helping to ensure future healthcare innovations benefit everyone.
